For an earth-toned mantel design, wooden candlesticks and antique-style plates make great additions. For something more informal, stack books or vintage postcards make great additions. Add an unexpected splash of green by placing either fresh or faux plants – either real or fake – in decorative vases, or including branches of eucalyptus or boxwood as part of the decor.
